Local Government Pay

Local Governemt Pay 2014

GMB submitted a pay claim last year for Local Government Workers who have suffered a pay freeze and in effect a pay cut for a number of years. The pay claim submitted was for a £1 an hour pay rise for all. The government has since come back with two offers both of which are derisory. The latest is a 1% pay rise for all scales and an additional amount for the bottom few scales.

As a result of this insulting offer GMB are balloting members this month, April 2014. Read the following updates from the GMB below for more information.
